Our Ruan ecru blouse is made from a blend of certified organic cotton and linen, in our partner workshop in China, with whom we have been working for 10 years. Together we pursue high ambitions for the eco-responsibility of our products.
We use organic cotton because its culture is more ecological and ethical. From the seed to the flower harvest, organic cotton is grown without pesticides, insecticides or chemical fertilizers, and without GMOs. It uses less water than conventional cotton.
Our organic cotton carries the OCS 100 label (Organic Cotton Standard) which certifies 100% organic material. This label ensures the absence of GMOs in the cultivation of cotton and the absence of chemicals in its processing.
Linen is a natural vegetal material, known for its solidity and thermoregulatory properties. It is recognized as an ecological material because it requires little water and pesticides and its manufacture consumes little energy.
